(Toronto, ON – February 21, 2017) Home Care Assistance
of Toronto, North America’s leading provider of in-home care for seniors, is dedicated to partnering with other community members to provide local seniors with a sense of companionship and warmth this Valentine’s Day. As part of the company’s commitment to the community they have a number of initiatives throughout the year to help support the elderly. Many elders find this time of year quite lonely from a social perspective, particularly those seniors who are on their own with little or no family. Here at Home Care Assistance, the team likes to remind these seniors that they are not alone and are thought of fondly, especially on this day.
“As part of our mission to Change the Way the World Ages,
we are committed to building the bridges between our youngest community members and the oldest,” said Cheryl Cartwright, Partner and Director of Client Care at Home Care Assistance. “Addressing loneliness and promoting social connections are key components of our holistic care philosophy approach known as the Balanced Care Method. We are proud to partner with the enthusiastic and talented artists at the two schools to bring a splash of colour and warmth to 100 seniors on Valentines Day.”
With an expertise in holistic care, Home Care Assistance educates its caregivers and the seniors they serve on maintaining a healthy mind, body and spirit with age through its proprietary approach to care, the Balanced Care MethodTM
. The Method is based on scientific studies of lifestyle factors linked to longevity including healthy diet, physical activity, social ties and calmness and purpose.
